Damascus and its countryside Assad forces attacked Jobar with deadly chlorine gas during clashes with revolutionary battalions in the neighbourhood; six suffocation cases were reported. Meanwhile, Al-Islam Army in al-Ghouta mortared regime troops based in the surrounding mountains; several regime soldiers were reportedly killed.
Homs Regime forces bombed the town of al-Ghanto of the northern countryside with a missile loaded with incendiary material. Seven civilians were killed and dozens others, mostly children were wounded. Activists expect that death toll may rise due to the critical conditions and severe burns caused by the missile especially among children.
Hama FSA forces thwarted regime’s struggle to capture the village of al-Mansoura and the silos in the western countryside. The FSA destroyed two regime bulldozers and two machine guns while twenty regime soldiers were reportedly killed during the clashes. In addition, FSA fighters downed a regime drone in the village. Meanwhile, a number of Assad troops were killed during clashes with the FSA at Mourek front in the northern countryside. Russian aircraft targeted a military base of al-Westa Division of the FSA in Kafer Zaita; no casualties were reported.
Aleppo Clashes continued between FSA battalions and Assad troops in different areas of the southern countryside and the FSA regained control of al-Mahroukat hill to the east of Khan Touman and captured a regime tank. FSA fighters attacked regime locations at al-Qarras front using heavy machine guns and fired Grad missiles at pro-regime Shabiha militias based in Mount Azzan front. Aleppo Liberation Operations Room battalions attacked Assad troops positioned in Bayt al-Hikmeh barracks in the western countryside using heavy machine guns and fired Katyusha rockets at regime locations in the city of Aleppo to ease pressure on the FSA in southern Aleppo countryside
Idlib Russian aircraft launched several air strikes on the village of Sheikh Barakeh in eastern Idlib countryside leaving three people, a woman and two children, killed and several others wounded. In addition, regime aircraft bombed different areas in the city of Khan Sheikhoun in the southern countryside; no casualties were reported.
