FSA battalions foiled regime’s struggle to advance towards Jobar following clashes that left a number of regime soldiers killed or injured.
Damascus countryside
Eastern Ghouta battalions thwarted regime and Shabiha militias’ attack on al-Marj al-Sultan area, the towns of Deir al-Asafeer and Zibdeen, and the villages of al-Rikabiyah and Nouleh amid clashes. As a result, dozens of regime militants were killed and many vehicles were destroyed. In the meantime, four civilians were killed, three in Bazenah and one in Deir al-Asafeer, following continuous regime airstrikes.

Homs:
Regime forces backed by Iranian and Lebanese militias launched a new attack against the northern countryside with the support of Russian airstrikes that targeted residential areas. As a result, four people were killed in al-Ghanto village. Homs Liberation Operations Room factions foiled the attack destroying several regime vehicles including a BMP vehicle in al-Halmouz area, a 23 mm gun in Jabboureen, and a pickup vehicle in Senseel; at least five regime soldiers were killed. The Factions also targeted regime locations in the village of Qinyat al-Assi and Akrad al-Dasiniyeh with rocket launchers, and targeted locations in al-Ghasibiyeh and Jabboureen with snipers, mortars and Jahannam launchers. Additionally, they targeted regime locations in al-Kum with mortars amid clashes. Meanwhile, Russian airstrikes forced more than ten thousand families to flee the villages of Teir Ma’leh, al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Ghanto, Sneseel and Joalik heading to the villages of al-Za’faraneh and Homs countryside farms. Russian airstrikes killed fifteen civilian in Homs northern countryside yesterday, killing the total of eighty people within less than 36 hours.
Lattakia:
FSA battalions, including the First Coastal Division, foiled the attacks of regime forces backed by Russian airstrikes on Selma resort amid clashes leaving losses among regime’s ranks. Meanwhile, al-Sham Legion in the coastal sector targeted regime and Shabiha locations in Jibb al-Ahmar area using 106 mm guns and SPG-9 guns. Moreover, Ansar al-Sham Battalions of the Islamic Front targeted regime bases in Kitif Mreshoud using 120 mm mortars.
Northern Region
Aleppo:
Fierce clashes broke out between Free Syrian Army factions and regime forces backed by local and foreign militias in addition to Russian warplanes in Aleppo southern countryside. The clashes left seventeen revolutionary fighters killed in addition to at least twenty regime militants. Clashes mainly broke out at the fronts of al-Shagedlah, Ebteen, Wadehi and al-Sabiqiyeh, and the FSA destroyed six regime tanks, two 23 mm guns, two pickup vehicles and a car loaded with ammunition. Meanwhile, Aleppo Liberation Operations Room mobilized its forces in Aleppo and its countryside to fight back regime forces attacks which are backed by Russian airstrikes. The regime is attacking the southern countryside in order to reach Damascus-Aleppo highway to secure its supply routes to Aleppo city, and to isolate the western countryside from the southern countryside which would become besieged. Moreover, regime forces would become closer to the northern countryside. Thousands of civilians escaped from the southern countryside of Aleppo as a result of regime and Russian airstrikes, despite the fact that it was shelter for thousands of displaced people coming from the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.
In the city, clashes broke out between FSA factions and regime forces in Bani Zaid neighborhood as the factions targeted regime bases in the Artillery Academy and the cement plant in Asheikh Saed area using Jahannam launchers. In the northern countryside, clashes broke out on the outskirts of Bashkoy and Handarat. In the meantime, FSA fighters used anti-armour missiles to destroy an ISIS car bomb in Tal Qarah before reaching its target in FSA-controlled areas.
